Nicole Beatty (she/her) is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) who has raised over $30 million for causes worldwide and involved in the creation of three charities and one social enterprise.  She is an active community leader in Northumberland, contributing as an inaugural board member for SONG, co-founding Cultivate Community, starting 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland and Think Tiny Homes Northumberland, and creating Local Food for Local Good and serving as its volunteer ED since 2014.  Locally, she has done work for Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation, Thrive: Northumberland Coalition to End Violence Against Women, Port Hope Public Library and Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce.  She served as Councillor and Coordinator of Planning and Development for the Town of Cobourg from 2018-2022 and was elected Deputy Mayor in 2022.

Nicole manages her own consultancy, Capacity for Community, and is a registered coach with Innoweave, a social innovation network funded by the McConnell Foundation.  She specializes in capacity building, strategic and operational planning, leadership training, program design, impact evaluation and fundraising services for charitable and non-profit organizations, social enterprises and other community-minded businesses and professionals.  Her sectors of expertise include food security, housing, poverty reduction, healthcare, gender equity, youth empowerment, and arts and culture.

Nicole earned her BA Hons from the University of Ottawa and received a post-graduate certificate from Ryerson University.  She lives in Cobourg with her husband Damien and their dog Chevy.
