What is Wrapped in Courage?
In November, Woman Abuse Prevention Month, Cornerstone takes part in the Wrapped in Courage campaign.
We know it takes the support of an entire community to end violence against women.
By wearing a purple scarf you are showing your support, starting a conversation about why you believe we must work towards ending gender-based violence, joining thousands across Ontario calling for change and for safer communities.
By purchasing Wrapped In Courage merchandise you will not only be providing financial support to Cornerstone, but showing support to women and children in our community. It’s a symbol of courage, support, and commitment to working together as a community to end gender-based violence.
Over the course of one year Cornerstone provides more than 6,000 nights of shelter for women, children, and youth impacted by domestic violence. The number of women and children needing shelter is growing every year and Cornerstone relies on the support of the community to continue providing the programs and services to individuals in our community.
How can you show your support?
