We couldn’t do what we do without our staff, volunteers and donors. Together, we’re making a difference – and you can, too. Whether it’s through volunteering, giving, participating, or advocating you have the ability to help us save lives and create violence free futures.
At Cornerstone we truly value the impact our volunteers have on our organization and our community. We are committed to providing a positive and rewarding experience to each volunteer, and have many different volunteer opportunities for you to explore.
Events and Campaigns
Cornerstone hosts various events each year to engage with neighbours, friends, and the community at large to raise vital funds in support of our programs and services. A great way to show your support for Cornerstone is to attend and participate in these events.
Host an Event
A wonderful way to give to Cornerstone is through holding a Third Party Event. A third-party event is a fundraising initiative hosted by an individual, group, or organization in support of Cornerstone and can vary in size and scope. These events can take many forms, raising important funds and awareness for our work to end family violence and help support our programs. Your contribution to Cornerstone, whether large or small, can make a difference in the lives of local women and children impacted by violence.
Sponsorship and Corporate Partnerships
Today, customers are interested in knowing more about the companies with whom they choose to do business. Does this company look for opportunities to give back to my local community? Will my purchase do more than support this company’s bottom line? Do we share common values? Set your business apart by partnering with Cornerstone to challenge gender-based violence in our community.
Share Your Story
Storytelling can be a powerful tool. Survivors and loved ones can find strength and healing in telling their stories to others. Their insight and inspiration can save lives. It can also help educate bystanders and demonstrate the impact Violence Against Women has on individuals and a community.
We offer challenging and rewarding post-secondary and graduate-level student placements for those looking to advance their skills and knowledge through our residential, community counselling, and prevention streams.
Join our team! Cornerstone is looking for highly motivated and professional individuals interested in gaining valuable direct-service experience working with women, children and youth impacted by violence, who want to continuously learn and improve. As a Focus Accredited Organization we offer a safe, inclusive and productive environment for all team members, and we’re committed to creating a positive work experience.
Request a Speaker
Are you looking for a guest speaker? Cornerstone is committed to working proactively and collaboratively within our community providing information and education regarding our services and the issues connected to family violence. We would love to speak with you and work together to tailor a presentation specifically for your group.
